How to Be Pehuén Pedre

Pehuén Pedre is a young man with a disability. On a theatre stage, he is leading a workshop to train two actors to pass an examination which will allow them to obtain a certificate attesting to their disability. Federico Luis offers a playful and incisive reflection which subverts the norms, highlighting the space of our shared imperfections.

Deep knowledge of a person can be overwhelming. Even in the most trivial situations it is possible to find peaks of tension that appear from the underground. Vidrios intends to explore the universe of interpersonal relationships through a series of scenes of isolated appearance, with anonymous characters that are constantly updated and dialogue with each other until they burst a moment in the absurd.

A boy raised in the mountains films his home surroundings. He shows his sister, his father, their house with a treehouse in the garden, and the family’s old dog. He runs and cycles while holding the camera, creating choppy, chaotic images that match the energetic life of a child.
