Beyond the window of a car, a road unfolds. In the passenger seat, a young woman seems to be waiting for it to end. Beside her, the man sitting behind the wheel strives in vain to make this journey to nowhere last.

In an Alpine village shaken by the arrival of a controversial ski resort project, a man disappears into the night. Overwhelmed by the events, Marie, the mayor, tries to understand the forces at play.
