Jeff, aka Mr. Pickles, is an icon of children's TV. But when his family begins to implode, Jeff finds no fairy tale or fable or puppet will guide him through this crisis, which advances faster than his means to cope. The result: a kind man in a cruel world faces a slow leak of sanity as hilarious as it is heartbreaking.

Metadata is a short film that reckons with the artificiality of narratives and challenges the audience with their perception of onscreen reality as truth. Embedded within the multiplicity of narratives is a story about Erin, a young burnout editor who has to navigate the travails of an overbearing Arthouse Director and finding freedom within her claustrophobic universe.

On the eve of a new millennium and a looming eclipse, 9-year-old May tries to make sense of her mother’s difficult pregnancy while a neighbour plays a sinister speech on an endless loop.

The intertidal zone where land and sea meet separates the island into two during low tide. The doll, unable to leave the island, recalls a distant memory of the violent separation from her owner and herself. A butoh dancer embodies a castaway doll and performs in a shifting landscape of disappearing bodies of water from intertidal phenomenons. Butoh, also known as the ‘dance of utter darkness’, is a post-war Japanese avant- garde art form. Like the elemental changes of states from water to vapour, she senses something present but unable to be seen. A more invisible performer takes precedence, the PD150, an attribute to forgotten and lost objects. Memory becomes the act of ‘vanishing’ and follows the sensation of ‘missing’ through a span of space and time with objects, locations and people.

Guoqiang is a socially awkward Instagram poet and occasionally posts his self penned haikus on his Instagram page. In order to get more attention for his haiku, Guoqiang decides to go to local author Augustine Chua’s writing panel to get his feedback. When he eventually gets the chance to ask questions during the Q&A, he comes off confusing instead, creating mass awkwardness.

As night falls, a series of mishaps fall upon her and she is forced to confront the moth at every turn, navigating through the night with severe anxiety and terror in hopes of returning to her French horn practice.

Wayang, or Chinese Street Opera, has become a dying art in Singapore. Grace, a millennial filmmaker, visits her larger-than-life Aunty Maggie, who used to be an amateur Cantonese Wayang actress. Together, the charming duo reminisces and recreates the thrills of donning traditional embroidered costumes and performing together—a bridge between generations.

‘When I talk to you’ is an evolving digital time capsule about two friends, one a frontline worker, and one a filmmaker, who try to meet but cannot. Set during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Singapore, documenting the months of January to July during the lockdown.

Flowers for my mother and father’ follows the artist's tender ritual of layering on ‘flowers’ in its different forms, in tandem. Bright plastic flowers in one frame, to adorn an afterlife; and flowered sheets in the other, to swaddle, to soothe and to hold. Reminders of how love manifests in different forms following profound loss, changing shape to fit the ones that continue to love and be loved.
