Cypress Hill - Rock en Seine 2023

Almost 50 years after their founding, Deep Purple released their 20th studio album “Infinite”. Hard rock legends Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse and Don Airey went on tour for the last time. On June 16th they performed at Hellfest, the biggest French metal meeting. Mat Bastard hosted this special, final concert.

Live at Val de Moine,Clisson,France 24.6.2022. The setlist features hits from the ‘70’s, ‘80’s and early ‘90’s, all performed by the current band line-up. The filming is quite good and the BD features PCM stereo and 5.1 mixes as audio choices. Expect all the usual live show theatrics (including the guillotine) and great showmanship not only from Cooper himself, but the rest of the band. You would expect an artist at this stage of his career to be on the decline, but nothing could be farther from the truth. Of course, the “band” is a joy to watch as well, especially Glen Sobel (drums) and Nita Strauss (guitar) – two virtuosos on their respective instruments. They add so many subtle intricacies into the music without overstepping Cooper’s vocals. But when the time is theirs in the spotlight, they shred/jam with authority and conviction – absolute professionalism at the highest level in rock music.

A behind-the-scenes documentary about the 41st Paléo in Nyon (Switzerland) in 2016, with a selection of the best parts of the concerts and interviews with the artists and volunteers who organize the festival.

One of the (eternal) most eagerly awaited returns to Hellfest 2025. Half a century into their metal career, Judas Priest deliver an epic concert, all riffs, pyrotechnics and studded biker leather.

The Cure in concert.

A leading figure in French music, Albin de la Simone revisits his repertoire alongside Jozef Dumoulin and Fabrice Moreau. These songs are waiting to be rediscovered through the lens of jazz at Jazz sous les Pommiers.

Marc Ribot rarely performs in Europe. His appearance at Jazz sous les Pommiers is therefore a real treat, especially since the guitarist is performing here with his quartet to introduce us to the album *Hurry Red Telephone*.
