Within a few years, France has witnessed the emergence of a new perspective on society, identity, and race, leading to the creation of an unprecedented lexicon that contradicts the principles of French-style universalism. These days, terms such as "white privilege", "intersectionality", "cancel culture", and the adjective "racialised" are defining a new relationship between minorities, differences, and society, especially among the younger generation. What is the origin of this vocabulary? What does 'wokism' mean? What is the origin of its adoption in France? Is it an opportunity? Or a threat? Is this an unfortunate implementation of a model not our own? This documentary delves into the origins and consequences of a phenomenon that is no longer trivial through archive footage and insights from prestigious contributors, analysts, and witnesses.

On 23 August 1939, the world was shocked to discover that Hitler and Stalin, the most intractable of their enemies at the time, had signed a pact that allowed them to divide Poland between them and gave the Nazi leader complete freedom to concentrate his forces in the West, against France and the United Kingdom. Through this agreement, Europe was to be thrown into war. For a long time, the relationship between Hitler and Stalin was ignored: their mutual fascination, their moves to get closer, the marks of confidence they exchanged and all the benefits they derived from the German-Soviet pact, before resuming their war to the death in June 41 with the "Barbarossa" operation.

For 70 years, the Red Army was one of the pillars of the USSR, an object of both fear and admiration, a symbol of both liberation and coercion. This documentary explores its history, combining epic storytelling with the deconstruction of myth. While everyone knows that Trotsky's name is attached to his creation, contrary to popular belief, the bulk of his story is made up of defeats and military failures.
