La Fontaine turns filmmaker is a new film from The Cinema Owl. You will remember how last year, Wake Up and Dream Again invited children from 3 to 8 years old to discover some wonderful stories halfway between the world of dreams and the real world! This time The Cinema Owl has brought back from her travels six short films in the form of fables about animals, each with a strong message. La Fontaine turns filmmaker, in the tradition of our cartoon favourites, is both educational and a lot of laughs.

A session of short films that adapt in an original way popular stories and universal customs among children. Who has not counted sheep to sleep? Or has the sweater turned upside down to go to school? Who has not heard of the stone soup?

'Step by Step' is a set of six short films created by international animators. The stories range from the adventures of a cardboard boy who lives in the ocean, to a man who manages to lower the moon or some jungle animals that are scared by strange noises.

A wealthy banker prides himself on his fortune, but is literally bored to tears with his life. One day he passes by the home of a humble stonemason who tells him he is quite content with his freedom, his rock and his early morning cup of tea."But how can one live without gold?" exclaims the banker, sure that the man shares his love for gold!

A little boy can't get to sleep. He calls his father who tells him to try counting sheep. The little boy does as he is told but soon finds himself with a dozen sheep around his bed.
