A Particular Friend

Single, penniless poet Ruby has recently moved back home to live with her mum, Jen. When their strict Presbyterian neighbours descend on the home for her spoiled sister Eliza's engagement party, Ruby’s only job is to not shame the family...

A psychologist's longing for family puts a strain on his current relationship, a priest wrestles with his own desires after catching his peers in a moment of intimacy, and a husband has a heated exchange with his wife, while his new partner waits quietly in the bedroom. A tender collection of stories of men torn between two worlds, as the feelings they once buried come rushing back to the surface.

Forbidden love stories where gay men navigate the intense conflict between their deep-seated religious beliefs and their passionate desires. The 7 short films are: A Particular Friend (2023); Venena Bibas (2016); Keeping Faith (2017); Give Up the Ghost (2020); Barely in Love [לאהוב בקושי] (2013); The Vigrant [연극하는 날] (2021); Longing [אישך, תשוקתך] (2014).

In this anthology of shorts, the phrase "Gay Agenda" is reclaimed from the religious right and transformed into a celebration of gay culture. Sit back and enjoy "The Letter Men," "A Particular Friend," and "Cock N' Bull 3".
