Frank is a successful comic book author who is struggling to reinvent himself. His series is no longer selling, and his publisher is pushing him to move on. But Frank lives with Monkey Boy, the main character from his series, and he doesn’t know how to let him go.

Surrounded by his best friends for a bachelor party at the family vacation home, Sami runs into a childhood friend who accuses him of abusing her a few years earlier. Throughout the weekend, Sami navigates his own conscience, sometimes misguided, sometimes pushed around by his friends. To recognize the truth, he will have to break through and abandon his shell.
