Years of Macau

"Years of Macau" is an anthology film consisting of nine short films set in different years and locations in Macau. They include "Go Back Home", "REC-Last Days", "Sparkling Mind", "The Last Show", "Till the End of World", "The First Cigarette", "A Moment", "Dirty Laundry" and "Summer". All nine directors are from Macau, most of whom were born and raised here. The stories of each film share what the directors feel about Macau using the language of cinema to convey their love for the city.

The Age of Hangover

Youngsters Gassi, Lily and Sun are in a concert when they meet Yoko, Sun’s ex-girlfriend. Together, they spend their days getting drunk, crying out their depressions in a subtle but destructive way. As Gassi breaks up with his girlfriend, he will get a chance to get along with Yoko. Shocked by the sudden change, Sun releases his anger, by taking revenge against Yoko.

Macau Stories 2 - Love in the city

After completing “Macao Stories”, Chu Iao Ian produced “Macao Stories 2: Love in the City” by inviting six new directors (including Macanese, Portuguese, and Chinese) to make 6 short films about love and the city. The film took into account market considerations while cultivating local film talents. The six stories are: “A Book to Remember” (directed by Jordan Cheng), “June” (directed by Fernando Eloy), “Sofa” (directed by Ao Ieong Weng-Fong), “Cake” (directed by Tou Kin Hong), “Shocking” (directed by Elisabela Larrea), and “Frozen World” (directed by Harriet Wong).
