To celebrate this anniversary, CANAL+ is presenting a special prime-time program titled “40.” It’s an opportunity to defy the passage of time by revisiting some of the defining moments of pop culture in general and CANAL+ in particular. More than sixty—that’s the number of talents, artists, and actors whom the channel has had the privilege of watching emerge, flourish, or grow, and who have reimagined in their own way the films, series, and short-form programs that have shaped our shared history since November 4, 1984. On the stage of the Folies Bergère, Antoine de Caunes gracefully and effortlessly bridges the gap between 1984 and 2024 to host this evening, which alternates between studio segments, pre-recorded footage, and live performances.

This is the story of a young man in his thirties who reflects on what he has become, whereas in his memories he was a nice kid. Is he a good person or not, in the end? Do his actions, sometimes glorious, sometimes much less so, or even not at all, make him a nice guy or a scumbag? Unless one can be both.

Nothing left to lose... Fabrice Eboué lets loose like never before in this new show. If he has a field day with vegans, conspiracy theorists or his mixed couple, it is above all himself that he prefers to laugh at! 1h30 of healthy and jubilant anger!

After having "left the dress" in her previous show, Caroline Vigneaux finds herself naked like Eve in the Garden of Eden. In her turn, she bites the apple, the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge... And as she takes a liking to it, she bites again and everything goes haywire: she discovers the truth about secrets that have never been discussed, and settles down at the Grand Point Virgule to reveal everything, even if it means breaking ancestral taboos!
