In the turmoil of the Thirty-Years' War, a mysterious soldier appears in a secluded Protestant village claiming to be the heir. His quest for recognition and acceptance are complicated by his secret: under a false identity, false name, and pretense of a false gender, he has made his way to the village. Fresh out of a psychiatric hospital, Pia moves back in with her parents to get her life together. Torn between a new job, lovesickness, psychotropic drugs and social stigmatization, she emerges into a world where everything seems out of control.

Tamim, a Syrian father in Vienna, actually just wants to return a lost wallet in the club. But what begins as a well-intentioned act plunges him into a chaos of misunderstandings and moral conflicts.
