Branda has hit rock bottom. Her addiction has spiralled so far out of control that medical intervention is the only option left. She's forced to confront her darkest demons in order to lick her deadly appetite, and must apply all 12 steps to her four stomachs - Branda is a cow addicted to eating plastic bags. It's easy to find humour and irony in Branda's toxic lifestyle, harder to admit that we're the ones being ridiculed.

Bjössi, a farmer, lives in the middle of nowhere with his flock of black sheep, which are his closest friends and family. One day he receives the news that he has to cull his flock because of illness. When the day of reckoning comes, it turns out to be the hardest day he has ever encountered.

The Pitch tells the story of Melavöllurinn, Reykjavík’s main sports arena and meeting place until the 70’s. The Pitch served as a melting pot of ideas for Iceland’s newly acquired independence in 1944 that brought back hope and prosperity in the years to come.
