Kotiyama is a swindler and extortionist, the head of a whole gang of crooks, usually posing as a poor monk; once he really took vows, but he was kicked out of the monastery long ago. He is enterprising, smart and not too cruel, so his accomplices love him. Posing as an envoy from the abbot of the Kennei Temple, Kotiama plays a show in front of Lord Matsue with an income of 150,000 koku, and extorts money from him. The film is based on the famous play by Kawatake Mokuami.

A suspense work starring Junko Natsu. One night, Saiko Ogata, a popular female DJ on a late-night radio music program, discovers a strange letter among a pile of postcards. It was a letter written in the style of a 5 or 6-year-old child, beginning with, "Mom, I am in a dark and cold world right now." Saiko is shocked. That letter was a letter from her own child, whose father was Kazuo Yamazaki, whom Saiko had fallen in love with six years ago when they were trainees at a certain theater company, and who had sprouted in Saiko's womb but passed away without being born...

Toru Emori leads the cast as Hirate Musashi while a Hiroshi Fujioka competes with him as Okamoto Musashi. They must not only contend with the Yoshioka and Yagyu fencing schools, but have to take on Chiyonosuke Azuma as Sasaki Kojiro, and deal with the women who pursue them for love. Unlike the Yoshikawa Eiji novel which is not historically accurate, this film offers a new view of Japan’s greatest hero! The film is based on the novel by Kosuke Gomi!

Yoshio is a 24-year-old man born in Saidaiji , Okayama prefecture. He moved to Tokyo, bringing his guitar, in search of the bohemian lifestyle, and settled in Asagaya, West Tokyo. Within one year he has sold his guitar and has become a day labourer on civll construction projects.With no guarantee of constant work the only accommodation available to him is the cheapest type of accommodation, that with no bathroom, no air-conditioning, no bath, a shared toilet, a shared kitchen "Dokudami-so" with "no money, no job, no woman.
