I Wandered All Around and Didn't Find Anything

Reimagining scenes from the iconic Man with a Movie Camera (1929, Dir. Dziga Vertov/USSR), Man with a Cellphone Camera delves into the creative potential and image manipulation in the era of social media.

Helen is a visual artist who isolates herself in a house to prepare for a new artistic project. Her solitude is disrupted when her wife, Angela, returns from a trip. However, Helen begins to experience hallucinations and growing paranoia, leading her to question whether the woman in her house is truly Angela or an imposter.

What binds us to the images we create? If the act of capturing them belongs to us, to whom does the image belong: to what allows itself to be seen, to the one who records it, or to the one who first imagined it? Between thought and the world, perhaps the image belongs to no one or passes through everyone.

A couple interrupts an intimate moment to discuss their relationship.
