After the Germans flooded large parts of The Netherlands towards the end of WWII, the Brouwer family find themselves trapped in their attic surrounded by water. With their rations dwindling, tensions arise within the household.

Jane and Mia have a sisterly friendship, and like sisters, they argue frequently. Jane is trying to get into art school, but is conflicted because she is afraid that she has to leave Mia behind if she accepts her place at Art school.

Two young lovers are hitchhiking together towards their new home, when they suddenly break up and go separate ways. But as they talk to the different strangers that pick them up, they both start reconsidering their life decisions.

Following fateful scientific reports, protestors pose the argument for a better future against the vested interest of industry. Small to large, individual to collective, where do I fit into this?

Isa’s having a bad shift. The restaurant is packed, there’s new graffiti in the bathroom, and her best friend Earn has just told her he’s picking up shifts at the rival rooftop bar next door.
