A Velhice Ilumina o Vento tells the story of Valda, a black woman, elderly, from the periphery, a domestic worker in the city of Cuiabá. A strong woman, from Cuiaba with the “cracked foot”, Valda subverts the paradigm of stigmatized old age in her daily life.
