Heike works at a cleaning company, where every day she has to handle her team’s struggles, the pressure of delivering a spotless job, and the need to keep clients and boss happy. When a powerful subcontractor threatens to withdraw his support if she does not provide more work for his team, Heike faces a difficult choice. To comply, she must sacrifice one of her own employees. As the pressure closes in, Heike must decide how far she is willing to go to meet the job’s ruthless demands.

After years of a physically disintegrating daily routine on the streets of Kassel, the 27-year-old Leon finally wants to beat his heroin addiction. Following a failed robbery, he hopes to find his way back to life in a therapy facility.

Jannick (14) loves soccer, but his eyesight is steadily declining. Since he can no longer see well enough to control the ball safely in sighted soccer, he joins a blind soccer team. As he trains hard for his first tournament, he feels increasingly like a part of the team. Slowly, he grows into the team and tries to accept his new situation.

Eleven short documentaries about eleven youth football teams for different age groups and with varying prospects. This Berlinale project is part of the cultural programme of the 2024 European Football Championship hosted by Germany.
