In the near future in which genetic engineering is the norm for couples looking to have a child, DR. MARA STEVENS, a case manager for a genetic engineering firm, leads an isolated, meticulous existence consumed by work and little else. But as her deceased daughter's seventh birthday approaches, Mara begins to ask herself, "what if Wendy hadn't died?" In opening this Pandora's box, Mara is faced with the debilitating grief she has suppressed for so long.

Adapted from the critically acclaimed 2008 comic-book miniseries "The ODD Squad," created by Nick Capetanakis and Todd Livingston. The short serves as an introduction to Charlotte Springs, the quirky head of the Office of Dimensional Defense (ODD) and her team: Frank Flood, a skeptical FBI agent who's forced to work under her; Richard, a nerdy teacher's assistant whose main qualification is that he has the keys to every lab at MIT; Christopher Apollo, the Reno-famous mentalist; and Cindy, the team wild card and Charlotte's younger sister.
