Gregory Porter @ Baloise Session 2022

UB40 play the Baloise Session in Basel, Switzerland

In the silence of the Paris catacombs, Queens of the Stone Age reinvented themselves during a stripped-down yet intensely powerful acoustic set. The film "Alive in the Catacombs" captured the essence of the performance—resonating water droplets, natural echoes, ghostly plays of light—transforming it into a live experience where desert rock reaches unprecedented depths. In 2025, this ultra-exclusive project is reborn on the Baloise Session stage: one of only seven European dates in 2025.

Any visit from Jessie J is a major event, and her appearance at Baloise Session 2023 is no exception. Renowned for her live performances, this British singer is a born show-woman, a star with an incomparable charisma radiating warmth, pride, love and passion.

Frankie Goes To Hollywood: Their music videos told bizarre stories - from the overtly sexual sado club to the biblical nativity play. At the centre: Holly Johnson. Always with a slightly ironic charm and in a tailor-made suit. Always style-conscious, even in the crises of his life. At Baloise 2022 he revives the emotions of yesteryear with his British humour and his immortal solo hit "Americanos".

A key figure in modern folk rock, Amy Macdonald captivates audiences with her haunting melodies and unique voice. Her sixth album, Is This What You've Been Waiting For?, continues her musical odyssey. On stage, the singer exudes boundless energy and irresistible charm.

Duran Duran, pop pioneers who became global icons, have never stopped looking to the future while embracing their heritage. In the cosy intimacy of the Baloise Session, the band gets closer to the audience. An authentic concert without artifice.

Blues, gospel, jazz: Jon Batiste has been immersed in music since childhood. He played in his family's band, studied piano and went on to become a Master of Jazz at the Julliard School in New York. In Basel, he performed a piano and vocal repertoire: a resolutely contemporary return to his roots that has earned him seven Grammy Awards and an Oscar.

Ellie Goulding grew up on a council estate in sleepy Herefordshire before getting her enormous talent recognised while at university in the 2000s. Her folk-tinged electropop continues to charm along with her electric stage presence, on show here at Baloise Session 2023.

These two sisters fill any space with an energy as vibrant as it is intense, the result of a captivating blend of blues, rock and roots, carried by incredible virtuosity on the guitar.

Parov Stelar didn't just create electro-swing, he elevated it to an art form. For 20 years, the Austrian producer and designer has been combining the vintage charm of the 1920s with contemporary rhythms. His rich sound and energetic stage presence are perfectly suited to the intimate atmosphere of the Baloise Session.
