Land of The Lost

Harun, a Kurdish freedom fighter, is haunted by the memories of war that have left him with post-traumatic stress, and burdened by a profound guilt. In an effort to seek solace, his friend takes him to see a group of Yarsan musicians (an ancient Kurdish religious group), who believe that their sacred Tanbur music can soothe the soul and cure illness. When the music cannot alleviate the burden of war from Harun’s heart, he is guided to Maryam, a traditional Kurdish tattooist who lives in a remote village located in the Triangle of Borders region, where Iran, Iraq, and Turkey cross. When Harun eventually opens up about his past, his memories intertwine with those of the village, and more is subsequently unveiled.

It’s about the period of an internal war and what happened during it, especially from the social side. It tells the story of a little girl and boy who were together but because of some situation, they have been separated from each other. One year later each one of them will choose a different way of life.

For example, an old man and an old woman lost their five children in 1988 and have no pictures. Thirty years later, They are able to see pictures of their five children.

Couples hear some unexpected news after learning that their first child is coming.

People are gathered in a tea shop that no longer is able to serve tea as the country is blocked from importing tea. The coalition forces are bombarding all places. Lack of tea has given people headaches. At last, the representative of the coalition forces brings them an offer if they accept their requirements.
