The Doctors: The Jon Pertwee Years

A spoof of Blade Runner, built around bloopers and outtakes from the Myth Makers series of videos, featuring interviews with actors from the Doctor Who TV series.

Have you wondered what it’s like being a star from Doctor Who living in Australia? Almost the only star in fact! That’s exactly the life Katy has led for the last 20 years (off and on) and you wouldn’t believe the things she gets up to! Well probably you would! In this absolutely, totally and utterly unique production, Katy - Interviews Louise Pajo, Sue Willis, Robert Kitts and Keff McCulloch at an Aussie Doctor Who convention - Gives us a whirlwind tour of Sydney - Introduces us to the best friend who was her flatmate during Doctor Who - Embarrasses her children again - Persuades her partner, Aussie legend Barry Crocker, to step in front of the camera with her - Takes a sideways look at Doctor Who fandom in Australia. There really is only one Katy Manning … Thank God! This World is too small for any more!

Following on from the other documentaries 'The Hartnell Years' and 'The Troughton Years', which showcased rare surviving episodes from incomplete stories. There are no missing Pertwee episodes, so instead, using a similar format with interviews and clips, Jon Pertwee introduces full episodes from his favourite stories - "Inferno" (episode 7), "The Frontier in Space" (final episode) and Pertwee's personal favourite, the final episode of "The Daemons".

Documentary about the era of the first doctor, William Hartnell. It includes the pilot version of An Unearthly Child that was never broadcast. Hosted by Sylvester McCoy

This video details the legendary Patrick Troughton's convention appearances in America using rare and unseen footage, plus interviews from fans who met him.

By her own admission, Katy Manning is ‘as blind as a bat’ and never knows where she’ll end up. When she suddenly arrived in the UK, Katy was probably as surprised as the rest of us! Determined to thank the legion of Doctor Who fans who had written and supported her during her years abroad, Katy embarked on a whirlwind tour of British conventions and shops before leaving (yet again) for Australia… Along the way bump into Nicholas Courtney, Richard Franklin, John Leeson, Sophie Aldred, Sylvester McCoy, Michael Sheard and other surprise guest stars!

With a writing career spanning 6 decades, this special documentary looks at Terrance Dicks' work for books and television, with contributions from many of his friends and colleagues. Featuring contributions from Terrance Dicks, Barry Letts, Christopher Barry, Louis Marks, Eric Saward, Paul Cornell, Peter Darvill-Evans and Brenda Gardner.

Over Easter weekend the 3rd and 4th of April 1983 the BBC held the biggest Doctor Who event ever to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the programme. The BBC expected 10,000 people a day. They got 30,000. We travel back to 1983 using extensive video footage of the entire event plus interviews with those people who were there – both the organisers and the attendees. In this landmark video we feature Heather Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davison and a host of celebrities and production staff from Doctor Who in what might be for some… The greatest show in the galaxy!

Theis documentary contains the best in-depth interviews with Paul McGann (the Eighth Doctor), Daphne Ashbrook (Grace Holloway), Yee Jee Tso (Chang Lee), Eric Roberts (The Master), Philip Segal (Producer) and Geoffrey Sax (Director). It was a operation worthy of UNIT itself… bringing The Brigadier (Nicholas Courtney), Captain Yates (Richard Franklin) and RSM Benton (John Levene) back together again at Chicago TARDIS. In this production we tear through the red tape to cover the convention and also talk to Katy Manning, Jon Pertwee, Terrance Dicks, Gary Russell, J. Jeremy Bentham and many more about the secret behind UNIT’s success.

Here, for the very first time, we reveal how a convention looks from the other side of the stage – from the ‘star’s’ point of view. Armed with his own home video camera (and trailed by the intrepid Reeltime crew) Mark Strickson sets off from deepest rural England on an odyssey of adventure across the Atlantic to the Airtel Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, the venue for ‘the twelfth regeneration of Gallifrey One’ … confusing name but nonetheless one of America’s leading Doctor Who conventions. Don’t miss this totally unique ‘up-front and personal’ video diary of the trials an tribulations of being an Englishman on Gallifrey!

In April 1983, Roger Stevens and James Russell were given “Access All Areas” passes to the BBC’s Doctor Who celebrations at Longleat. Armed with a Ferguson Videostar camera they set out to record as much of the event as they could. While the BBC’s official footage amounts to only a few minutes for news broadcasts, James and Roger recorded several hours, and their material includes interviews with both Patrick Troughton and Tom Baker. Some of this material has been used in other productions by both Reeltime Pictures and BBC Video, but the original tapes were thought to be lost forever – until rediscovered earlier this year. So now enjoy another chance to take a trip to Longleat in 1983. The sound may not be perfect and the pictures come from ageing VHS tapes – but the atmosphere is unmistakable. So avoid the queues, and get to the front of the line with a trip down memory lane!

This documentary includes the best in-depth interviews with NIGEL ROBINSON (Writer), ANDREW SKILLETER (Author), JEFF CUMMINS (Artist), plus a galaxy of creatives from THE TARGET BOOKS TEAM, VIRGIN PUBLISHING and TELOS PUBLISHING!
