Noori, a transgender woman, finds a home with her chosen queer friends. On her quaint 18th birthday, the queer household pulses with dreams and laughter, until there is an unkind stranger at the door. Six friends, three scenes, a police case and one gun.

A short film that captures a lesbian relationship in the early 20th century. It begins in August 1947, as Nehru’s speech “Tryst with Destiny” rings across India. In doing so, it introduces us to a romance that is doomed from the start — not just crushed under the weight of the patriarchy and heteronormativity, but also destroyed by the Partition of India.
