Major Grom: Plague Doctor. Behind the Scenes

In present day St. Petersburg, police major Igor Grom, an honest and skilled cop with unconventional methods, pursues a vigilante murderer in the mask of a plague doctor.

Igor Grom, a skilled detective from St. Petersburg, happened to be at the scene of a bank robbery and decides to stop them.

In 1990s St. Petersburg, police major Konstantin Grom is trying to find and neutralize the new criminal boss, nicknamed Anubis, while his ten year old son Igor is trying to earn money by getting involved in dubious adventures.

Police Major Igor Grom is known throughout St. Petersburg for his punchy character and uncompromising attitude towards criminals of all stripes. Incredible strength, analytical mindset and integrity — all this makes Major Thunder a real superhero. His life is perfect: during the day he catches criminals with his partner Dima Dubin, and spends the evenings in the company of journalist Yulia Pchelkina. The complete idyll is interrupted by the appearance in the city of a mysterious villain calling himself a Ghost. He offers Thunder to play a dangerous game, the stake in which is the lives of ordinary people.

After catching the Plague Doctor, Igor Grom became a symbol of peace for all of St. Petersburg. His life is perfect—during the day, he catches criminals with his partner Dima Dubin, and in the evenings, he spends time with his girlfriend Yulia Pchelkina. However, everything changes abruptly when arms magnate August van der Holt arrives in town to sign a contract to modernize the police force. To do so, he enlists the services of a mercenary nicknamed Ghost, who is tasked with eliminating Grom and sowing panic among the peaceful population.
