Two 13-year-old boys spend an idyllic summer together, but their connection is put to the test when they become the subject of speculation at school.

While Marcel struggles, after the death of his mother, to empty the family home, a melody fills the deserted rooms. In the living room, he meets a stranger playing his late mother's cello.
