On a stormy night, a weary detective and a keen-eyed doctor piece together fragments of a high-profile case. As evidences and unanswered questions surface, the dread draws near.

Siddhartha is a working professional who once had the dreams of becoming a footballer. Certain events lead him to mull over the college life he once had and how the change of time affected the changes in him as an individual. He questions and investigates theories of famous philosophers and yearns for balance as he takes a sip of coffee with his blind date in a cozy café.

Shirish, a struggling student, tries to solve mathematical equations and/or tries to break out of a human cage.

Set inside a cramped prison and unfolding in a single unbroken long take, A Prison on the Equator follows a condemned prisoner who obsessively reasons through time, logic and fate as he awaits an execution promised to be a "surprise."
