The Hum of the Forest

A man experiences a scary night in the old forest. The trees resemble monsters that have been frozen in time, the clock faces melt as in a surreal painting and the revolving door grinds them into pieces as in an expressionist film.

The Cockroach

An apocalyptic Kafkaesque vision of the end of the world. The man catches cockroaches and splits them under a microscope. He connects thousands of elements to sew a piece of clothing with a hood and a mask in case of a nuclear disaster.

The Executioner

An executioner prepares to work. His red gloves turn into blood, and a cut tree symbolises his victim.

Kidnapping in Tiutiurlistan

Three friends – a rooster, a cat and a vixen – meet the kidnapped princess on the eve of the war between Balbacja and Tiuturlistan. To prevent a war, they try to bring her to her father's house. They tell each other stories from their lives during a journey full of adventures.

Gwiazda Kopernika

Nicolaus Copernicus, the son of a Toruń merchant, is a bright and curious child. When he is ten years old, the Dutch astrologer Paul van de Volder predicts a great future for him, which develops in the boy an interest in the stars. Paul van de Volder reappears in Nikolai's life when he is already a student at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. A battle for the student's soul begins between the charlatan astrologer and Wojciech of Brudzew and other university professors. Astrology fights with astronomy. From the doubts and questions that hound Nicholas, a discovery is born that will change the world.

The Flower

A lonely man notices an exotic flower in the cracked, dry ground. He begins to take care of it. He systematically brings a handful of water to water the flower. The flower grows tall and green.

Bricking Up the World

The entire ground is covered with paving stones. The paver continues to work until he reaches the edge of the forest. The trees fall one after the other. When he stands before the last tree, he experiences an epiphany and begins to retreat.

A One Way Ticket Mr. Z

A man gets on the train. Things that he sees cause him to have erotic and cruel associations with the sensuality of women and the industrial slaughter of animals. This train to self-annihilation goes only one way, there is no return.
