Junior high school student Yuna lives with her father Toshiharu. Her mother Akemi moved to Naha when her older sister entered high school, and Yuna is worried about her father's life after she leaves.

43-year-old business woman, Harumi. She lives with her husband, after their only daughter, Michiyo, married two years ago. One day, Michiyo is killed by her husband, Koji. Koji is sentenced to death. Harumi initially agreed with it, but starts thinking to stop the death penalty of Koji. Although her husband and all her family are strongly opposed to her decision, she keeps trying to stop the death penalty with the help of Koji's lawyer. Harumi had a secret of Michiyo that she doesn't want to tell anyone.

Masashi, a 15 years old school boy and so-called 'overprotected child', lives with his parents in the suburbs of Tokyo. Poised to graduate from middle school as per his parents' hope and expectations, Masashi experiences an incident during spring break that changes his life forever.

Shinjuku Tiger, a Japanese documentary, is named after its subject, a colorful figure who has been a feature of the Shinjuku scene since the 1970s.

Taciturn Yuki is our prickly protagonist. An 18-year-old who served time at a juvenile reformatory, after returning to the care of his father,his longing for a mother he barely knew and his frustrations push him to leave home and retrace his memories to a mountain forest where his aunt Noriko lives at a mountain campsite. It was there, as a child, that Yuki witnessed a creature he couldn’t identify amidst the trees at dawn, something which left him sensitive to the various presences in the world. It is there he hopes that reconnecting with his past may bring a sense of peace. Meanwhile, Noriko and the other adults around him become increasingly frustrated trying to understand what Yuki is thinking.

T and K are so close that they are said to be homosexuals. T has a steady girlfriend named T, but things are not going well. The two meet in a park, where they meet Yoko, the singer of a folk group, and Yoko and K have a secret attraction. Meanwhile, T-girl is trying to get back together with her old boyfriend. In the midst of such a mundane group of high school students, T's malice and Yoko's sudden mistake. Some just stare at the blank time of grace in front of them. This film, produced by a large group of people, is a comedy with a high sense of humour and thoroughly sophisticated dialogue.
