S'altra banda

Mother and son meet after being estranged for some time. They walk through different landscapes, sharing a final moment before bidding each other farewell.

Filmed clandestinely over eight years at a city Zoo, the film is a sonic and visual journey where time unfolds differently. A zoo built more than 130 years ago on the colonial logics of progress, where sadness and a strange beauty coexist today.

With the liberal promise of prosperity and socioeconomic wellfare, many workers left their homes to move to the small city and started working at the new Nuclear Power Plant. The collective unrest and the silence, cut off by the great gusts of wind, articulate the landscape of the village that is now under the aid of the Nuclear Power Plant.

Before leaving, he enters the forest with a friend to remove the markers that delineate his study area. As night falls, the walk through the woods becomes a farewell enveloped in memories and silences that surpass words.
