Christian, a former organized crime member, seeks redemption by founding Ángeles Soccer, a team that trains kids and women on a once crime-ridden lot in one of Mexicali's most dangerous neighborhoods, aiming to rebuild the community he once harmed.

Alfredo, whose life has been marked by a forced disappearance 17 years ago, joins the effort to search for missing persons in Baja California. As part of an international search brigade, he and the families face government resistance, which hampers their mission. Amid the struggles, one mother finds a small measure of peace.
