This film is an African “Boyhood” that gives an insight to the political and historical situation of Burundi throughout the last 24 years through the eyes of six street children that now have become adults.

A man, a woman, a child. It could have been different story. But there was civil war, scores to settle and fear. Choices had to be made. This is the story of the reunion of a man and his wife, the last chance for them to speak their mind, face the consequences of their mind, face the consequences of theirs actions, knowing that they were at once the executioners and the victims. A hidden witness observes the scene : their son, The Heir. Here is the story that will be his legacy.

In the depths of winter, a mysterious young woman lands in a caravan camping in the middle of a forest. There, she meets two other lonely souls: a taciturn former boxer turned hunter and a young dreamer with a passion for puzzles, working at the reception desk. By her side, a blackbird seems to follow her like a shadow, its songs resonating like an echo from the past.

Laura, in her thirties, lives alone on the outskirts of a big city. She learns that her father is in a coma, following a serious traffic accident. She decides to visit him regularly at the hospital: the opportunity finally presents itself to settle accounts, perhaps even to take revenge... But life is unpredictable and Laura's desire for revenge will lead to a reunion troubling with her family and her past. She will come out of it reconciled, with herself and with life.

This is the story of two childhood friends - Lucas (a 16-year-old high-schooler) and Bert (a mechanic’s apprentice) - who flee the suffocating fish bowl that their killjoy families’ lives have become. Lucas, still quite immature, finds a “big brother” in Bert, a guide who is going to take him straight to the brink of catastrophe. But very quickly, boredom resurfaces and the freewheeling sense of being on an adventure evades them. Should they return to the fold, or keep moving on? Their drifting logic compels them to blindly forge ahead.
