The Bridal Party in Hardanger

Young Tone's uncle gets the much poorer young man Tellef sent out to sea after they fall in love. They pledge to never marry anyone else, but one day Tellef recieves a letter saying Tone is soon to marry the police chief.

The Norwegian climbing expedition to the Tirich Mir mountain in Pakistan in 1950. Per Kvernberg, Arne Næss, Henry Berg and Tony Streather became the first people ever to reach the top of this mountain - in July 1950.

Year after year lord Wakefield comes to Vang to fish. One summer he meets beautiful Anne and falls in love. The following spring Anne gives birth to a daughter and leaves the baby and drown herself. The local man of the law takes care of the child and calls her Kristine Valdresdatter.

The classic movie from 1938 is an adaptation of Oscar Braatens play. Eva Sletto plays the young factory worker Milja, and Harald Heide Steen as her unfaithful boyfriend Julius.Milja and Julius are a happy couple working at the factory, and everything is good until Petrina shows up at the arena. Julius is bewitched by the girl, who gets him to drink and steal.Milja is soon left alone with the shame - and a bastard child. The child is placed with Hønse-Lovisa while Milja is at the factory, but a doctor casts his eyes on Milja`s young. He's looking for children to adopt to rich westside people. In her desperation, Milja gives away the dearest thing she owns, for the kid to have better conditions than she manages to give him.It is Hønse-Lovisa that convinces her that the material benefits can never compensate for real love and care.

The story of an orphaned girl brought up by the Storlein family. Young Anne (Asta Nielsen) is brought as an infant to the Storlein farm by her mother, who has been traveling and is in need of a rest. The two are turned away at the door, and the mother takes her young daughter to the barn to sleep. The farmhand Jon discovers them in the morning but the mother has not made it through the night, so young Anne is taken in and raised by the family.

The city boy Rolf gets a job on a big farm, and soon lies about finding gold. We see the rise of gold fever while the corn rots away.

The film is based on the story The Emperor Felix written by Gustav Aagaard, rewritten for the film by Gunnar Nilsen-Vig, who also photographed the film. Rasmus Breistein directed the film.
