The Fifth Groom

Princess Nour Al-Doha, Princess of the Sultanate of Java, is a guest at one of the grand hotels in Egypt. One day, Hamida, the fruit merchant, flees to this hotel and meets the princess there, who resembles her to the point of being identical. The princess asks Hamida to replace her on official visits, and events escalate.

Ashour lives happily with his kind-hearted wife until one of her relatives tries to separate her from her husband Ashour, with the help of one of the girls who tames lions in the circus, who is able to make Ashour believe that he is a very attractive man to whom women are attracted.

Overnight, the situation changes from one extreme to another. This is what happened to Umm Al-Saad after she accepted to live in humiliation in her wealthy uncle’s palace and work as a maid, to the point that she was accused of theft and his wife threw her out. Years later, Murad returns to Egypt and meets Nadia, a con girl on board a ship who shares her brother Ramzy's crimes.

In Egypt, Nahid meets Amina's husband, pretending to be his wife. Amina's husband discovers the truth and fights with Burhan. In the fight, Enayat, Amina's husband's lover, is injured. He kills Burhan to make it look like Burhan killed Enayat and then committed suicide. Amina's husband lives with Nahed pretending to be his wife.

With his father’s attempt to take revenge on Rabab, she decides to flee again to Cairo to work as a teacher there under the name (Najwa). Then she met a colleague of hers and married him.

Hikmat disguises herself as a man after her brother suffered a tragic accident while on his way to start his work. She pretends to be teacher for the children of the Pasha instead of her brother. Hikmat gets to know the children whom she teaches and becomes Mr. Hikmat.
