Hussein is a terminally ill yet charming architect who enjoys a solitary routine in his old family home, and a variety of female visitors. Not realizing his past is about to catch up with him, Hussein's sister and her grandson move into the house, disrupting a well-established lifestyle, and forcing him to re-examine his ideas about life, love, and family.

The film revolves around the relationship of two teenage sisters in one of Egypt's Nile Delta cities, one of them holds a secret life in the virtual world.

Set in a middle-class Cairo apartment building, The Seventh Neighbour weaves together the private lives of residents who project happiness and stability to the world while quietly battling their own secrets, struggles and conflicts behind closed doors. With interconnected storylines spanning love, marriage, family pressure and social tension, it's a warm, relatable ensemble drama about the hidden lives of ordinary people living side by side.

Laila is distressed by her mother's control over her life. When a family member dies, she travels with her mother to Alexandria to attend the funeral, then many comical situations occur during the presence of the large extended family, which consists of four aunts, their children, and their grandchildren.

Hadeel is at a turning point in her life. Her hesitant character and selfishness, that she is well aware of, make her unstoppable when it comes to getting what she wants, even if it at the expense of others.
