The Blessing

Nothing But The Truth is the story of a Kurdish interpreter who inspired by the BLM movement in Los Angeles tries to sway the immigration case of a refugee by giving him legal advice during his highly intense court hearing.

Sining brings his American boyfriend, Patrick, back to China when he goes to visit his family. Everyone's attitude towards Patrick changes once Sining inadvertently comes out, except for his 7-year-old nephew’s, Naonao.

The sudden death of the son forces an unexpressive and isolated Chinese immigrant father to reflect on his relationship with the deceased son and to rediscover the meaning of family.
