Master puppeteer Li Tien-lu recalls his life in Japanese-occupied Taiwan during the first half of the 20th century.

An actress preparing to play in a historical epic is terrorized by someone faxing her pages from her stolen diary; has colorful flashbacks of her affair with a now-deceased man; and imagines black-and-white film-within-a-film scenes of the movie she is about to appear in.

Tak-yuen, a 35-year-old office worker suffering from the seven-year itch, often fantasizes about how wonderful life would be if his wife, Lai-man, simply disappeared. But when she is accidentally kidnapped by a young couple on the run, his life is turned upside down.

This is a collection of three films by emerging Taiwanese directors all revolving around the theme of strong, young women involved in mayhem of some sort. In all of them the theme of alienation within the crowded streets of Taiwan runs strong.

Shen, the CEO of Eachway Fashion house, is tasked to find a relationship in order to fully inherit the company. Enter three promising women, Liu Qing, a promising assistant fashion designer, Xiao Xiang, his mothers choice, and Ning Ning, a trainee in the cleaning department. Ning Ning though a fashion major, replaces her mom after she gets injured at the company. Ning Ning seems to be the perfect breath of fresh air for Shen, but there is more to the story than meets the eye.

"1895" tells the story of the resistance against the Japanese invasion in 1895.
