It is a bitter story about a middle-aged man, who hates his life and other people, including himself. Adam Miauczynski, the character known from director Marek Koterski's previous films, is a 49 year-old teacher, who reads poetry during school lessons and later goes home swearing and calling his neighbours' names. The worst pain for him is the next 5 minutes of living. He doesn't accept himself and even everyday contacts with others cause his aggression. Though constantly dreaming of a romantic love, he is not bold enough to make his dreams come true. The desperate Miauczynski personalizes our own fears and obsessions, which have become so visible recently.

A member of a therapy group is found dead. A prosecutor and a police officer try to solve the mystery of his death.

Jerzy Stuhr scripted, directed and plays four roles in this Polish comedy about four men -- an army officer, a college instructor, a priest, and a drug dealer -- and their relationships with four females. An attractive student puts the teacher in an awkward spot when she reveals her love for him. An 11-year-old informs the priest that she's his daughter. The army officer is pleased when confronted by a past lover. The drug dealer, taken prisoner, must decide whether or not to trust his wife with his hidden loot. In the wrap-up, the elderly accountant passes judgment on all four men. Stuhr acted in films by the late Krzysztof Kieslowski, who had some input here by offering advice to Stuhr on this screenplay.

A Vietnamese girl, Mai Anh, illegally enters Poland. Now she only has to reach Warsaw, where she will join her boyfriend and start the life she has dreamed of. But the journey through Poland turns into one of humiliation and violence.

When you're short of cash, your girlfriends aren't getting along, and your life increasingly tastes of cheap discount beer - then you recognize that it's high time to finally change something. Such conclusions are reached in unison by Albert, Marcin and Jacek - three buddies from the housing estate, who, after a series of business disasters, finally come up with an idea on how to make a nice profit. Thus is born a plan for a daring plot that will lead the heroes into the middle of a big wedding, where not only money, but also a chance for a hot romance awaits them. Along the way, all they have to do is not to spoil anything. And with that, as we all know, things can vary. Sometimes it's easier said than done to do something yourself.

The protagonist of the film is a 50-year-old businessman, Tomasz Adamczyk, who wants to give up running his winery business and devote himself to his lifelong passion for philosophy. This idea does not appeal to his business partner. On top of all this, Tomasz has an accident and is taken hostage by enthusiasts of the wine he produces.
