A young woman of Peruvian descent born in Spain learns about her grandmother's connection to a very special friend: a skull who called "Manuelita", who has helped protect and guide her throughout a tumultuous life.

This biopic tells how the pop-rock group Hombres G was formed amidst rivalries, pranks and love affairs, with the musicians themselves as the protagonists.

Tony is a young crook preparing for a bank robbery with her boyfriend Juanjo and their low-life partners Maxi and Moco. Right before they commit the crime, Juanjo informs Tony that his prostitute sister wants him to take her young daughter Laura to visit the girl's father, a flamenco singer in the Spanish southern coastal town of Tarifa. Juanjo persuades the initially reluctant Tony that Laura will provide the couple with a perfect cover after they relieve their partners of the robbery's earnings. Unfortunately, though the robbery comes off without a hitch, the duplicitous Juanjo absconds with the cash, making Tony and Laura fugitives both from the law and from the psychotically angry Maxi and Moco.

David Riondino, an Italian film director, is coming to Spain to document the Atocha massacre of 1977, to make a film on its 50th anniversary. He will be helped by Alejandra, a young documentary filmmaker who urges him to contextualise the past with the current rise of the far right. By investigating the Atocha attack, David will recover a part of that recent past and at the same time will witness a reality that encourages reflection on some burning issues such as the advance of the far right, problems of access to housing and job insecurity.
