Halfway between fiction and documentary, Initiation of a Shaman tells the story of Rarowe, a young Yanomami who is about to be initiated and must make contact with spirits brought by other shamans. The young man feels the effects of the initiation and always waits until the end to see if he can withstand it. The ancient rites includes the struggle of the youth with evil spirits which attempt to prevent the old witch doctor from imparting his wisdom to the young man. La Dama de Rosa is a successful Venezuelan telenovela that was produced by and seen on Venezuela's Radio Caracas Televisión. Jeannette Rodríguez and Carlos Mata starred as the main protagonists. La Patrona is a Spanish-language telenovela produced by United States-based television network Telemundo Studios, Miami and Mexican Argos Comunicación. The telenovela is a remake of the Venezuelan telenovela La Dueña, written by José Ignacio Cabrujas. The name reflects a local term or slang in Mexico to address a person recognized as the main boss. However, the title is also a reflection of both the protagonist and the antagonist struggle to conquer power, authority and respect in a labor field traditionally deemed to be a man's job.

Emperatriz is a Mexican telenovela produced by Fides Velasco for Azteca. It stars Gabriela Spanic as the title character, while Bernie Paz as the male lead. Cambio de Piel is a Venezuelan telenovela that was produced by and seen on Venezuela's Radio Caracas Televisión. It was written by José Ignacio Cabrujas and Perla Farias and directed by Tony Rodrígues. This telenovela lasted 110 episodes and was distributed internationally by RCTV International. It is a remake of RCTV's 1986 telenovela, La Dama de Rosa.

Un nuevo amor was a Mexican telenovela produced by Fides Velasco and broadcast by TV Azteca in 2003. It starred antagonistically by Karen Sentíes, as a leading couple had Cecilia Ponce, Sergio Basañez and Vanessa Acosta (it should be noted that Cecilia Ponce left the telenovela halfway through history and was replaced by Vanessa Acosta).
