Pasquale and Luigi, two brothers about to get married, never lose their spirit for playing pranks on each other, such as scratching photos of their girlfriends or stealing money. One day, Hélène, a beautiful French woman whose car has run out of gas, arrives unexpectedly. The two brothers both fall in love with her and invite her to stay at their house. In the days that follow, Pasquale confesses that he wants to marry Hélène, and when his girlfriend finds out, she makes a scene in public that completely discredits him. The same fate befalls Luigi, who has to endure the whining of his girlfriend Rosina. Everything seems to be going well for Pasquale, now free and devoted only to the beautiful French woman, but a sudden encounter with his country friends upsets his plans. The young Don Enrico, an inveterate Don Juan, sets his sights on Hélène, who, having fallen in love with him, decides to return to France with him.

Robert and his fiancée Lucienne were due to go on vacation together to a tented village in Sicily. Robert is forced to postpone his trip and only joins Lucienne a few days later, taking advantage of the departure of a following group. During the train journey, he befriends Thérèse, a young Sicilian living in Paris, who wants to make a pilgrimage to the land of her ancestors. Lucienne is away from the camp when Robert arrives, so he can continue to see Thérèse, and little by little they discover that they love each other. When Lucienne returns, an explanation and reconciliation take place, then Robert changes his mind and, with the vacations over, leaves Lucienne alone to live in Sicily with Thérèse, who wants to stay in her family's homeland.
