A group of very different men are summoned for their refresher training at Haglemoen military camp. One more strange than the other, we get to meet jovial salesman Goggen Rask, car mechanic Bottolph Johansen, nicknamed daydreamer, and ship-owner Rieber Larsen Jr. They form an unruly faction which Major Kampstrup struggles to maintain structured and prepared, not to mention keeping them inside the camp premises before they pretend sick to see the nurses Bitten and Florence. The men do their best to get through their rigourous training, with great confusion and comical situations.

100 miles north, a bit east and up, is Pinchcliffe, the home of bicycle repairman Reodor Felgen and his two assistants, Solan Gundersen and Ludvig. Knutsen & Ludvigsen have taken up residence in a tunnel in lack of a more suitable place to stay. But this is against the rules and norms of society. Thus, the authorities soon make their presence to demand that they show respect for the law. Knutsen & Ludvigsen are banned from the tunnel and they end up in a struggle for existence.

The film is about three men who rob a liquor store. They are all being investigated and pursued by the authorities – more or less justifiably – and find an original way to get money to pay their taxes. But it's one thing to steal 50,000 bottles of liquor, and quite another to get rid of them again.

A Dog's Life is about Passopp, a troubadour and storyteller with a sense of the ridiculous, and his beloved Bella, who is both clever and sensible. Having spent all his money at the fun fair, Bella steers him in a different direction and he takes a job as a carpenter in the village of the dogs.

Private detective Ture Sventon is visited by his friend Mr. Omar of the Arabic desert. Sventon decides to travel with Mr. Omar on his flying carpet to Paris. However, Sventon almost exclusively lives on cream puffs, and to transport these across the continent, he needs a portable fridge. He pays a visit to Stockholms foremost fridge inventor and are introduced to a new fridge which shrinks and deshrinks the food. The inventor is afraid his new invention will be stolen, and thus Sventon brings it to Paris where it gets stolen.

Kodémus lives in a perfectly synchronized society, controlled by the master computer Moxon-50, when his 'Little Brother' -a device that arranges everyone's daily activities- goes awry.

A deckhand, Rolf Just Nilsen, is mistaken for pop singer Dickie Dons, also played by Rolf Just Nilsen, aboard the car ferry from Kiel to Oslo. The deckhand quickly settles into his new role and enjoys drinking champagne with the captain. However, things become more difficult as time goes on – not least because Dickie Dons turns out to be secretly married to his secretary.
