Erik Nietzsche is an intelligent but in many ways inexperienced shy young man who is convinced that he wants to be a film director. In the late 1970s, Erik is accepted by the Danish National Film School where he enters a world of angry and unhelpful tutors, weird fellow students and unwritten rules. In this both exhilarating and angst-provoking period for him, Erik feels increasingly like a foreigner in the film industry. Frequently, he is merely an observer of the absurdities that surround him. He encounters trade union disputes, falls in love and experiences self-assured empowered women who refuse to make a commitment. The film is a drama full of comedy - a sharp portrait of a conceited but entertaining world of film which we suspect our dogged young director will eventually conquer with his vision.

Five of the country's best stand-up comedians, Michael Schøt, Tobias Dybvad, Brian Mørk, Anders Fjeldsted, and Christian Fühlendorff, perform together in the show "De udvalgte" (The Chosen Ones). Each with their own style, the five comedians deliver plenty of sharp opinions, dark humor, bizarre whims, embarrassments, insults, and, not least, a good dose of self-irony.

Talegaver Til Børn celebrated its 15th anniversary in December 2007 with three sold-out shows at Forum. The FBI's annual charity show was produced in collaboration with Unicef. For 15 years, between Christmas and New Year's Eve, people have been able to laugh for a good cause in the company of the country's best stand-up comedians, and the 2007 shows definitely lived up to the success of previous years.

In spring 2016, Christian Fuhlendorff is ready with a new one-man show, “It doesn't matter what others think, right?”, which this time emphasizes fun over an actual theme. But then again, maybe the theme is that it just has to be hilarious!

This is my first DVD. It's a recording of my show from 2008 at Comedy Zoo in Copenhagen. The show is called “My first one man show”, which I think is an original title, and it's even factually correct. It could also have been called “My second one man show”, which would probably be a more original title, but still factually incorrect. I've chosen to write some of the synopsis myself in order to limit the number of adjectives and sales phrases, like the ones right after this text, because all I really want to say is: Hope you like the show and enjoy...

I've always been a nerd. A dyslexic, drawing, role-playing, special education, drug addict... nerd. At least those are the words I would use to describe myself. But am I? Or is that just the story I tell myself? Is my self-image set in stone, or can I change it? Is a life narrative plastic? And maybe it's time we looked at our shared world history in that way. I live even in the world's happiest country, Denmark! I have all the pieces to be for. I just do not know if I'm happy. For a house also means also debt and concerns that a dog does chores and to take the piss on the floor, a girlfriend means expectations and compromises, a daughter means responsibilities - and sometimes to take the piss on the floor, AND we must not forget that Denmark thus also one of the countries with the highest suicide rate. Let me put it another way: Do I be happy? " The question put Christian Fuhlendorff himself in his third one-man show "To make a short story long," which premiered at Bremen Theatre in Copenhagen 19 September 2014. In its previous shows, he took the audience on a journey into in his quirky and comedic universe. This time is no exception.

Christian takes us from the beginning, more precisely the big bang, to the creation of our solar system, past the beginning of life, the origin of man, all the way to the Greeks, philosophers and the birth of the West. How can nothing become everything? And how can a weak monkey go from being at the bottom of the food chain, starting on all fours, to standing upright on two legs at the top of the heap? We've got 13.8 billion years to go, so buckle up, we're in a hurry!

When you go to a stand-up show, the comedian is usually completely prepared. He or she knows 100 percent what to say, in what order the jokes should fall. Even when it seems like we're not on top of it, it's just part of the smokescreen. Every once in a while, some of us dive into the deep end of the pool, not knowing where it will end. Do we drown or do we make the best dive, because when you get it right with improv, as we call it, it can be magical. Unfortunately, it's never really captured on camera, but ZULU has asked Christian Fuhlendorff to change that. That's why he throws himself off the seesaw, with no preparation, no ideas, just himself and his thoughts.

Now that all the boring and practical stuff is out of the way, I'll tell you a bit about the show. Well, I'm not going to tell you what the show is about. You'll have to go and see it. But I can tell you a bit about how it was recorded, because it's a bit different from what you're used to. Since my shows are often very different from night to night and since I've sat in an editing room with a recording and thought; “F*ck, sh*t, that joke was much better the last time I did it”, this time I made the decision to record the show in Horsens, Odense, Aarhus and Copenhagen and cut the 4 shows together into one. Whether it was a good decision, I'll leave it up to you to judge, I'm certainly very satisfied. So all I can say is, enjoy... that is, if you pick it up.
