Professor of language and philosophy Dominic Matei is struck by lightning and ages backwards from 70 to 40 in a week, attracting the world and the Nazis. While on the run, the professor meets a young woman who has her own experience with a lightning storm. Not only does Dominic find love again, but her new abilities hold the key to his research.

3 separate stories take place over two days. The characters' paths intersect, and they affect each-other unintentionally.

The whip cream/ chocolate teacher (Loredana Groza), a French woman who knows the insights of living in Bucharest teaches her pupils the art of Savarin by day and Marquis de Sade's practices by night. No one is what they pretend to be and they all believe that telling lies is the most beautiful truth, and this leads to a series of misunderstandings.

On behalf of a multinational company, a production assistant drives around the Romanian city of Bucharest, interviewing various citizens who have been injured due to work accidents to cast one of them in a “safety at work” video.

Hawaii is a story on the struggle of inheriting $3 million in communist-era Romania when owning $1 could mean losing your freedom and touches on the theme of how money could buy if not happiness, at least the freedom to choose unhappiness.

Costica, unemployed and without many goals in life, tired of being taken for a fool, runs for president to steal his neighbor's parking spot, unaware that he is being manipulated by the party, which secretly wants to lose the election, in order to continue stealing from the state.

Out of enthusiasm, a Militia soldier abandons his platoon and decides to fight for the cause of the Revolution. His Lieutenant and the rest of the crew look for him during the confused night of 22-23 December 1989.
