The Red Queen had a high status and must play a key role in the royal lineage, by the fact of having been interred in the near the Temple of Inscriptions, where the tomb of King Pakal was found complex. It was enshrouded with cinnabar, a red and heavy mineral composed of mercury, hence its name. It is presumed that it was a woman between 40 and 45, a meter and a half tall, suffering from osteoporosis.
