A man tells his wife about a dream he had last night, he was in Paris and the Eiffel Tower was missing. She does not understand however, what is this Eiffel Tower of which he speaks?

By chance Erik meets Viivi, an Estonian violinist playing in the Stockholm subway. They start an intense romance. Erik's mother dislikes the relationship, not having forgotten her escape from Estonia during the war. She reveals facts from the past and Erik finds out that his Swedish father adopted him. His real father was an Estonian nazi. Viivi has grown up in communist Estonia where her father was a party member and worked for the KGB.

The feeble-minded Sven's mother dies and he gets work as a farm-hand at the rich, affluent Höglund's farm. He has to work without pay and sleeps together with the cows. The director seems crazy, the art director has idiotic ideas, and the acting coach is eccentric: they even look like brothers, related by their common obsession for the theater, linked as one with the actors. The new project is Mozart's Don Giovanni, in which the director insists to give it a brand new interpretation and an avant-garde treatment. Now, he has to deal with the violent objection from the actors, the musicians, the singing coach, the stage manager, and even the cafe bar attendants and the cleaners. The situation is further complicated as the director is such a womanizer like Don Juan... and his lovers and kids keep bugging him throughout the rehearsal...

The real horror is worse than - than a horror film, worse than - than the worst horror film. A story about some who are producing horror and special effects.
