King of Kensington is a Canadian television sitcom which aired on CBC Television from 1975 to 1980. The show starred Al Waxman as Larry King, a convenience store owner in Toronto's Kensington Market who was known for helping friends and neighbours solve problems. His multicultural group of friends consisted of Nestor Best, Max, and Tony "Duke" Zarro, who hung around regularly to the perennial disapproval of King's mother Gladys. The show was popular with viewers; prior to the start of the fourth season one of the producers noted that show drew 1.5 to 1.8 million viewers weekly. For the first three seasons, Fiona Reid played his wife Cathy. At the end of the third season, Reid decided to leave the series, so Larry and Cathy divorced. The show never fully recovered its stride or chemistry as Larry pursued other relationships, most notably with Gwen Twining in the final season. The show's gentle but politically conscious humour is seen by some critics as a Canadian version of the topical Norman Lear sitcoms of the 1970s, such as All in the Family and Maude. The series was syndicated to some American stations during the height of its popularity, including WTTG in Washington, D.C.

Less Than Kind is a Canadian television comedy-drama series that stars Jesse Camacho as Sheldon Blecher, a teenager growing up in a loving but dysfunctional Jewish family in Winnipeg. The show's cast also includes Maury Chaykin and Wendel Meldrum as Sheldon's parents, Benjamin Arthur as his older brother Josh, and Nancy Sorel as his aunt, Clara. The title sequence and logo for Less Than Kind were inspired by an iconic highway sign at Winnipeg's Confusion Corner intersection, depicting arrows pointing in every direction. Seeing Things is a Canadian comedy-drama mystery television series which originally aired on CBC Television from 1981 to 1987. It was also seen in Europe, South Africa, Singapore, Spain, Australia and the United States. In all, 43 episodes were produced. With the exception of "Seeing R.E.D." episodes were one hour long. The show starred Louis Del Grande as Louis Ciccone, a newspaper journalist who solves murders with the help of his ability to see postcognitive visions. Unfortunately, Louis cannot consciously control this sense except by investigating the clues the initial vision gives. In some episodes, however, such as "Seeing the Country", he is able to stop visions from entering his mind. Nevertheless, only when he discovers new information on the case will further visions occur, which provide increasingly more detail until they finally reveal the murderer. Del Grande was also the show's creator and writer. The show also starred Del Grande's real-life wife Martha Gibson as Ciccone's wife Marge, and Janet-Laine Green as crown attorney Heather Redfern. The supporting cast also included Frank Adamson, Lynne Gordon, Ivan Beaulieu, Murray Westgate, Louis Negin and Cec Linder.

Emily of New Moon is a Canadian television series, which aired on CBC Television from 1998 to 2000. The series originally aired in the United States on the Cookie Jar Toons block on This TV and it is currently seen in Canada on the Viva, Bravo! and Vision TV cable channels. The series, produced by Salter Street Films, was based on the Emily of New Moon series of novels by Lucy Maud Montgomery. The series consisted of three seasons of thirteen episodes and one season of seven episodes, for a total of forty-six. The executive producers were Micheline Charest, Michael Donovan, and Ronald Weinberg. The series starred Martha MacIsaac as the titular orphan Emily Starr. Susan Clark and Sheila McCarthy played Emily's aunts Elizabeth and Laura, who had taken on the responsibility of raising Emily following her father's death, and Stephen McHattie played her cousin Jimmy. Susan Clark left the series after the first season when her character, Elizabeth, was killed off.
