Martin Kampmann was scheduled to fight Rich Franklin, but was forced to withdraw due to injury. Yushin Okami replaced Kampmann in the main event.

UFC 59: Reality Check was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on April 15, 2006 at Arrowhead Pond, in Anaheim, California, and broadcast live on pay-per-view in the United States and Canada. This was the first-ever UFC event held in California after the state's legalization of mixed martial arts contests.

UFC 67: All or Nothing was a mixed martial arts event held by Ultimate Fighting Championship. The event was held Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada. The main event was Travis Lutter vs. Anderson Silva for the middleweight title, however Lutter was not able to make weight and the fight was changed to a non-title contest.

EliteXC: Unfinished Business was a mixed martial arts event held by EliteXC on July 26, 2008 in Stockton, CA at Stockton Arena. The main event featured a rematch between Middleweight Champion Robbie Lawler and Scott Smith. This event was the second EliteXC event to air on CBS.

Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu II, also known as Strikeforce: St. Louis, was a mixed martial arts event that was held by Strikeforce on December 4, 2010 at the Scottrade Center in St Louis, Missouri, United States.

Strikeforce: Evolution was a mixed martial arts event to be held by the Strikeforce on December 19, 2009 in San Jose, California at the HP Pavilion at San Jose. The event aired live on Showtime in the US and live on SuperChannel in Canada.

Strikeforce: Shamrock vs. Diaz was a mixed martial arts event held by Strikeforce on April 11, 2009 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. It was the first event promoted by Strikeforce after their acquisition of assets from the defunct EliteXC promotion through its parent company ProElite. It aired on the Showtime cable network and online through Strikeforce All Access.Gus Johnson, Mauro Ranallo and Pat Miletich were commentating during the broadcast and Jimmy Lennon Jr. was the ring announcer. The official attendance was announced to be 14,409.

EliteXC: Street Certified was a mixed martial arts event promoted by EliteXC scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the BankUnited Center in Miami, Florida. The main card aired live on Showtime at 10p.m. EST. The main event featured the return of Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson as he took on UFC veteran David "Tank" Abbott, a match originally scheduled for October 2007 in Cage Fury Fighting Championships.

Strikeforce: Destruction was a mixed martial arts event held on November 21 2008. The event was held by Strikeforce and took place at the HP Pavilion at San Jose in San Jose, California. This event aired live and free on HDNet.

The Ultimate Fighter 4 Finale was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on November 11, 2006. Featured were the finals from The Ultimate Fighter 4 in both the Middleweight and Welterweight divisions.
