It's summertime and Johnny hits upon the idea of restoring a disused old bar with his old friends Benny and Bobby. Raising the capital however is a problem, but luckily the landlord's geeky daughter Polly has long harbored a crush on Bobby. Bobby wants no part of this and neither does Polly who smells a rat. As the boys work on restoring the bar, preparing for it's grand re-opening, Polly's guard softens as seemingly does Bobby's but at the expense of possible heartbreak in the unlikeliest of places....

However, the pub owner is accident prone and causes more trouble than he is worth. An action-packed, physical comedy.

Kurt Schneider is a superficial and funloving character. Instigated by his mother he swindles his way into the legacy of a house and some money. Both Kurti and his mother are certain there are no legal heirs to the property. Great is their surprise when Ilona appears, who is the legal heiress coming from a remote part of Yugoslavia. Several attempts to get rid of that "Tschusch" prove unsuccessful. Once Mama Schneider gets to know that Ilona is also the beneficiary of a sizable life assurance contract, she destines her son to marry Ilona. While trying to double-cross Ilona, Kurti actually falls in love with her. Now it is Ilona's turn to take vengeance on mother Schneider and to prompt Kurti to take a clear-cut decision...

Jackies' quiet life as a housewife and English teacher ends abruptly when her husband informs her that he is leaving her for a younger woman. In a quest for revenge, Jackie makes arrangements with a plastic surgeon for a general overhaul with the goal of landing a younger husband. Connie needs money. When a mysterious watch manufacturer asks her to investigate possible insurance fraud, the problem seems to be solved for the time being. But then it gets really thick for Conny. It seems to be about murder and the client could be the killer himself. Unfortunately, Conny has already fallen in love with him.

Willi Schulze is a car mechanic. Together with Paul, who escaped from an orphanage, he runs a garage. During the testing of a car, Willi finds out the brakes aren't working that good. A fatal accident can just be prevented. He tries to hitchhike home and gets picked up by American election expert Willy Schneider. Together they also get an accident and both lose their memory. The police assumes Schulze is the election expert and rapidly he turns into the pivot in a stone-hard election-contest.

It all starts when she runs away from the altar in a church in Hamburg. Easygoing Henny Schönberg has qualms about marrying in the very last second and runs off to leave her stunned would-be husband Martin von Platt. Still dressed in her wedding gown, she takes the next best flight, not caring about its destination.

The comedy “Ein fast perfekter Seitensprung” was not only successful, it was really well-done. The first sequel is, as most sequels, less attractive. As the charming mix of Germans and Austrians itself wasn't new and interesting any more, Schwabenitzky had to concentrate more on the less terrific elements. He emphasised the character-clichés and made up a more complex story, in order to bring down as many of the characters from the first film as possible. This sequel is only worth watching if you're a great fan of the first part. Actually, not even then.
