Kit-Fong couldn't bear it, so she borrowed money from the nightclub manager to buy a piano back, but she was almost cheated. Chun-Fai was so moved that he decided to marry Kit-Fong. Chun-Fai asks his brother for the money left to him by his father, but he wants to embezzle the inheritance, so he forces Kit-Fong to leave Chun-Fai, who has no choice but to go abroad. Chun-Fai always drank to drown his sorrows. Fortunately, he was encouraged by his friend and his sister Pik-Shan, who became famous in one song. Shan is very loyal to Fai, but unfortunately she is terminally ill. Fai marries Shan to repay her kindness. Fong returns and learns that Fai is married. While sad, Shan is missing and brings Fai and Fang together to renew their relationship.

Before leaving for the imperial exams with the runaway Oi-lan, Yuen stages one final heist for his friend's sake. The officials trail Golden Cat to his house where his nocturnal costume is retrieved. His father is arrested as the criminal. Drawing a plan up her sleeves, Oi-lan's sister Oi-ling whisks the elder out of the execution ground. Despite failing at the exams presided over by corrupt examiners, Yuen saves the emperor on his homecoming journey, and returns triumphant as a duke.

The masterminds behind the abduction, Tong's stepmother and her nephew Chan Chi-biu capture also Tse and the children. Tse brilliantly manages to alert Kong. Fighting and apprehending her opponents, Kong frees the hostages and hands the criminals over to the authorities.

Tang Wan-tung, the son of a Southeast Asian Sultan is a student in Hong Kong. Only Uncle Mui, his guardian, knows his identity. Tang is known as "student prince". He organises an embassy variety show. Tang invites Lai Tsi-king, who has a lovely voice, to perform in it, but it ruins her chance to study music abroad. Lai’s parents want her to marry Tung Fook-si, the son of a merchant. Lai asks Tang to act for her parents, like a prince courting her. Her parents are convinced, but Tung is not fooled. Tang smuggles Lai out to perform in the embassy. Lai's performance earns her a chance to study overseas, but her parents will not support her. Tang borrows money from his father, but is refused. He pawns his father’s ring to help Lai pay the tuition. Tung takes his father's ring and sells it. Tung's father alerts the police. The rings turn out to be a pair. The police think Tang stole the diamond ring, but Mui tells the truth. Tung is arrested and Tang and Lai have a happy ending.
