A stage actor's turn as GDR leader Erich Honecker inspires an outlandish scheme to keep his daughter safe during the Leipzig protests of 1989.

Editor Eckernförde has come into the possession of an audiocassette that contains a recording of the last minutes of deceased politician Uwe Barschel. The circumstances of his untimely death have never been completely resolved - until now. Unfortunately, the editor's daughter Nina accidentally takes the tape with her to Munich, where she is about to visit her paralyzed Mom in a sanatorium. When this information reaches the CIA and the BND, both organizations compete to get hold of the tape. Meanwhile Erkan & Stefan, two loveable wannabe supercheckers from Munich, are assigned as bodyguards for Nina - of course, they are expected to mess up their job, so that the tape can be retrieved. But the two friends prove to be a bit more streetwise than CIA or BND ever expected.

Marc owes a criminal a quarter of a million euros. So it's just as well that there's an illegal car rally across Germany to win exactly that amount. Inconveniently, he is now supposed to look after his eight-year-old daughter.

The scatterbrained archivist of Cologne Cathedral is sent to Africa to retrieve the largest diamond in the world, on which the cathedral once rested and whose absence is now causing the foundations of the building to sink. In his wake, shady characters appear who are also after the precious stone. But there are also helpers who are well-disposed towards the adventurer against his will.

The improvisation artist gets active support from Felix, who appeares virtually with a paraglider out of the blue and skilfully turnes Sophie's head. Just now, Sophie's ex-mother-in-law Brigitte is at the door. The grande dame from Paris wants Sophie to return to her son Phillippe to prevent the unsuitable young successor who, in her opinion, does not come from a good family and only wants to take over the business. While Leonie is happy about her grandmother's visit, Sophie wants to know as little as possible about her. She is amazed at the unexpected magic that the sophisticated Brigitte unleashes on her grumpy barn occupier Barthl. He buys an elegant suit and dresses up neatly to impress the elegant elderly woman. But unfortunately more uninvited guests show up.

His son Julian Crael, however, believes she is an imposter. In his opinion, the woman pretended to be Dillys in order to gain access to Colonel Titus's fortune. Did Julian perhaps kill her?
