In the train he runs across the slick Max Grundeis who anaesthetizes Emil and steals his savings of 1500 DM. When he finally arrives in Berlin, Emil and a gang of street kids, led by the cheeky girl Pony Hütchen, try to find the gangster, who haunts the posh Hotel Adlon as a hotel thief. Meanwhile, to prevent anyone from finding out about Emil's mishap, Gypsi, a member of the gang of kids, passes himself off as Emil, thus wreaking havoc on the home of the priest.

The lives of childless couple Nela and Josch change abruptly after the accidental death of Josch's ex-girlfriend Rosanna. The deceased leaves behind her 14-year-old daughter Aimée, who the couple take in after some back and forth. The couple sensitively try to help the girl overcome her pain. But Aimée, who doesn't speak for a long time, is stubborn and unpredictable. Nela fears that the teenager wants to destroy her marriage and makes serious accusations against the girl. Josch, who is absorbed in the role of family man, doesn't seem to notice.

Adieu Paris

Bank manager Frank and writer Patrizia meet by coincidence again and again at the airport. They commute between Dusseldorf and Paris, but behind their travels are two fateful stories. Frank wants to complete the business of his life, Patrizia visits her lover, who is in a coma since a car accident. For both life comes out of joint and they each suffer heavy losses. What connects them is the search for hold, a listener, the need to be needed and the hope that there is a beginning in each end.
